The cadaverous Max Schreck stars as Count Graf Orlok (Dracula) whose very presence in the town of Bremen is signalled by plague and disease. His shadow spills across the moonlit streets as he sucks the blood from his victims.

The undead Count falls for his final victim, the beautiful Nina and is captivated by her pale radiance he remains by her side lovingly sipping her blood until the sun begins to rise destroying the count and ending the plague of death that has haunted the town.
